True North Tomato Series (4 Plants)

Includes 4 plants from the True North collection.  One of each: Tundra, Chinook, Polaris, and Midnight Sun.

Tundra – Potato leaf plants produce large 8-16 oz purple oxhearts.  Meaty with rich tomato flavor and very few seeds.  Approximately 80 days from transplant to harvest.

Midnight Sun – Bi-color Pink over yellow oxhearts produced on uniquely wispy potato leaf plants.  The colors are stunning and the flavor is superb. Fruits range from 8-12 oz maturing in about 75 days. One of the prettiest tomatoes you’ll grow!

Chinook – Purple oxhearts produced on wispy, but vigorous regular leaf plants.  80 days to maturity.  Similar to Tundra but fruits are generally a bit smaller.  Superb flavor!

Polaris – Potato leaf plants produce high yields of 8-16 oz purple Beefsteaks.  Outstanding flavor!

All 4 of these varieties are from Karen Olivier’s True North collection bred in Canada for cooler climates and shorter seasons.  Karen emphasizes minimal cores, small stems, and exceptional flavor in her breeding program and all of these tomatoes represent those characteristics well.

We’re excited to offer a limited selection of these tomatoes as the seeds are not widely available anywhere in the U.S.  Other varieties from Karen Olivier that we have loved include Ruby Slippers, Emerald City, and Yellow Brick Road from the Wizard of Oz series.
